Art Class
Small-group art sessions where children explore materials, ideas, themselves and the world around them. Through art-making, they develop creative skills while building curiosity, reflection and independent thinking, with space to experiment, make choices and develop their own ways of seeing and expressing ideas.
Art & Creative Exploration (6–8)
A small-group art course combining drawing, painting, making, storytelling, imagination and simple reflective activities. Children explore themes such as family, friendship, feelings, dreams, nature, places and the things that are important to them.
Stories and imaginative prompts provide starting points for children to create, experiment and express their own ideas. Along the way, they are encouraged to notice their preferences, feelings and experiences, and to become curious about themselves and the world around them.
The course draws on my background in art therapy and children’s art education, with an emphasis on creative freedom, self-expression and developing each child’s own way of seeing and making.
Art & Creative Inquiry (9–13)
A small-group art course combining drawing, painting, storytelling, philosophy, mindfulness and conversation. Children explore themes such as friendship, success, fear, technology, nature, identity and what gives life meaning.

Through art-making and discussion, children are encouraged to think, question, imagine and develop their own ideas, while experimenting with different ways of expressing them visually.
The course draws on my background in art therapy and children’s art education, together with my research interest in how children develop values, ways of thinking, and relationships with themselves and the world around them.
